Book launch of India Untouched: The forgotten face of rural poverty India untouched by Dr. George was launched on September 6, 2004 at Chennai by Union Finance Minister Shri. P. Chidambaram. Dignitaries present included Shri N. Vaghul, Chairman ICICI Bank Ltd., Shri B.N Rao, Chairman Indian Bank, H.H. Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, Prince of Arcot, Shri N. Vittal, Fmr. CVC, Shri Raghavan, Fmr. Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura, and over 300 distinguished guest and scholars. The minister and other dignitaries complemented Dr. George for his “courage, clear exposition of the reasons for poverty, and the practical solutions offered.” |
